June 16, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. EST in Structural Analysis 2 Session at the Virtual Conference on Advancing Analysis & Simulation in Engineering presented by NAFEMS Americas and Digital Engineering.
Join us to see two powerful simulation tools on one fascinating pogo stick adventure!
Will Mars of Endurica and Tim Hunter of Wolf Star Technologies will present how to build structural and rubber virtual digital twins of a pogo stick.
Tim will show how to turn the pogo stick into its own load transducer with True-Load by leveraging the Abaqus FEA model. True-Load will identify strain gauge locations on the pogo stick. Strain data is collected during pogo stick usage. These strains are then transformed into loading time histories which are in turn used to create operating deflection shapes of the pogo stick.
And Will will show how to go from actual loads to actual fatigue damage. The Endurica software will simulate complete nonlinear time histories of the rubber response to these loads. Endurica’s software will, in turn, calculate the fatigue damage on the rubber.
The processes involved here are mathematically efficient and fast enough to process the load and damage calculations in real-time.
