Join us from the comfort of your home or office. (No travel required!) A trial license of our entire software suite is included. A link of the recorded presentation for review is sent after each session. Additionally, Dr. Mars is available every class day for “office hours” to answer your questions.

Course Objectives
- Understand key principles governing fatigue in elastomers.
- Apply fatigue analysis workflows for:
- Infinite life analyses
- Safe life analyses
- Damage tolerant analyses
- Successfully solve durability issues using Endurica software (CL, DT, MP, and EIE)

Day 1
- Installation and overview
- Infinite Life Analysis workflow with Endurica CL
- Material behavior: nonlinear elasticity
- Material behavior: crack precursors and fatigue threshold
- Multiaxiality, critical plane analysis, and safety factor
- Example: Grommet isolator
- Safe Life Analysis workflow with Endurica CL
- Specifying and verifying crack growth behavior
- Specifying the load history
- Plotting life contours and Identifying the critical plane
- Using rainflow counting to identify worst case events
- Examples: Bushing, Tire
Day 2
- Self heating analysis with Endurica MP
- Material behavior: specifying nonlinear viscoelasticity
- Uncoupled, steady state thermal analysis
- Example: planar tension specimen under sinusoidal loading
- Block Cycle Analysis with Endurica DT
- Specifying a schedule with multiple load cases
- Examples: Bushing, Tire
- Accelerating strain history calculations with Endurica EIE
- Building a nonlinear map of the load space (1 and 2 channel maps)
- Load history interpolation to generate full field strain history
- Variable amplitude loading and rainflow counting
- Example: extracting a block cycle schedule from road loads
