Durability in Medical Devices

Endurica CL™ for fatigue life prediction in medical devices and implants

Develop medical devices and implants like replacement silicone knuckles to meet regulatory requirements and corporate timelines with Endurica’s original software program.

Endurica DT™ simulates how medical silicone and elastomers change over time and tracks damage state evolution over the number of cycles applied, maximum strain energy density, and more.

Simulate how your device will endure the test of time within the demanding environment of the body. Endurica’s software helps medical device developers meet user requirements, corporate objectives and regulatory expectations.

Heat Resistance and Long-Term Analysis

Endurica EIE™ analyzes full-length loading signals gathered during long-term testing

Enhance the safety and reliability of rubber components by analyzing actual use case data.

Giving Arthritis the Finger: Customized Medical Device, Optimized for Durability with Endurica

Rheumatoid arthritis frequently affects the fingers and total joint replacement surgery is commonly required to restore patient hand/finger function and alleviate pain. The silicone elastomer proshtetic must endure at least 10 million cycles in which the finger joint is flexed through 90 degrees. Endurica was part of a presentation team describing why and how to leverage patient-specific anatomical data, non-linear structural simulation, fatigue simulation and shape optimization to generate a customized simulation workflow to enhance device design of a total finger joint replacement.
