You will join a global team of Engineers, Software Developers and Business Professionals dedicated to the creation and commercial impact of methods and workflows for product durability analysis. Endurica methods have become essential for many customers in the rubber industry including raw materials suppliers, tier-1 component manufacturers and OEMs. Endurica provides complete durability analysis solutions including materials characterization, testing instruments, software tools and workflows, consulting and training.
You will work within a highly competent and motivated team whose purpose is to help transform the elastomer industry to improve product development efficiency, safety, materials usage and sustainability.
Your Responsibilities
You will be responsible for new methods development and for customer project execution and support focused on the analysis of elastomer and thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) components and incorporating the following technologies:
• Finite element analysis
• Fatigue life analysis and prediction
• Fracture mechanics
• Coupled thermomechanical analysis
• Reliability and Uncertainty Quantification
• Material ageing
Details of this Staff Engineer role include:
– R&D Project Execution (Principal component)
• Work with technology partners in Europe and the US to carry out the development of new technical capabilities
• Contribute directly to the development of new methods utilizing finite element methods
• Contribute to industrial/application driven research with commercial and environmental impact
– Strategy & Planning
• Plan technology development initiatives considering company strategy and customer requirements
• Define technical strategy and go-to-market plans for new products and services
• Aid in development of technical proposals together with partners and coordinate with funding agencies
– Customer Project Execution and Support
• Contribute to pre-sales technical presentations and demonstrations
• Conduct finite element analysis and fatigue lifetime assessment for customer products
• Provide technical support to Endurica software users
– Marketing
• Represent Endurica at conferences and provide technical presentations
• Contribute to customer and partner engagements to help plan and win new projects
• Contribute to thought leadership with blog posts and other market facing media
Desired Profile:
– Experience
• 3 to 5 years of engineering experience with the development and usage of structural finite element methods
• Experience with major commercial FEA codes (ABAQUS, ANSYS, MARC, etc) is desired
• Experience with the analysis of elastomers is desired
– Academic Background
• PhD in Mechanical Engineering or similar. Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with industrial experience considered
– Technical Skills
• Demonstrated ability for nonlinear structural analysis utilizing finite element software
• Software development with Python, C++ or Fortran is a plus.
• Material modeling for nonlinear elasticity and viscoelasticity
• Knowledge of fatigue and fracture mechanics principles
• Experience with data analysis, data science and statistics including Uncertainty Quantification is a plus

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (additional EU languages are a plus.)
